This small herbaceous plant has white flowers which concentrate the active ingredients. When the plant is of organic quality, no residue disrupts the virtues of this plant used since antiquity. Harvested at maturity, the concentration of active ingredients is maximum. Meadowsweet represents an alternative to aspirin. These compounds give it analgesic and anti-inflammatory potential.

It helps to relieve headaches, flu-like illnesses, and even dental pain. Certain active ingredients which compose it also seem to have a positive impact in helping to reduce heartburn and indigestion.

Prepare this beautiful infusion

Prepare an infusion with a tablespoon of meadowsweet flowering tops per cup, leave to infuse for ten minutes in simmering water (never boiling). You can enjoy the preparation hot or cold. To prepare a liter, use 4 tablespoons of meadowsweet.

As it is an astringent plant, be sure to hydrate well or combine meadowsweet with a moistening or softening herb.
